Fee: $690 / per participant (Inc Lunch and refreshment)

Learning Outcome
□ CARRY OUT PRE-TREATMENT ACTIVITIES
ü Explain the importance of personal hygiene and grooming
ü Explain the types and uses of personal protective equipment
ü List the products and tools used in application of make-up
ü Explain the sterilisation and disinfection agents and methods
ü Explain the procedures relating to preparing treatment station
ü Explain the rules and regulations:
ü Maintain personal hygiene and grooming
ü Set up facilities in treatment station
ü Observe workplace safety and health guidelines
□ CONSULT WITH CLIENT
ü Review client profile form which may include information on client’s
ü Explain the anatomy and physiology of skin - skin structures and function, aging process and skin
ü Explain the skin characteristics of various ethnic groups (e.g. Chinese, Malay, Indian, Caucasian)
ü The skin types (e.g. normal, dry, oily, combination, sensitive, dehydrated, mature skin)
ü Explain the types of face shapes and facial features (eyes, eyebrows, lips, cheeks) and how make-up can enhance them
ü Types of contraindications to make-up and handling methods
ü The ways to handle sensitive issues pertaining to client’s contraindication identified
ü Consultation technique and the importance to review and update client and client’s profile form
ü The importance of obtaining client’s informed consent to treatment plan
ü Identify the medical history on client’s client
ü Explain the importance of observing professional ethics
ü Carry out visual assessment of client’s skin condition to identify conditions
ü Discuss with client treatment plan, such discussion may include:
ü Update client profile form based on information gathered during client consultation
ü Providing constructive Feedback
□ PROVIDE BASIC MAKE-UP
ü Explain the colours –classification, complementary colours, warm and cool colours, application of colours in make-up
ü Explain the skincare regime prior to make-up and its importance
ü Identify the range of cosmetic products and their uses
ü Explain the sequence and steps in application of make-up
ü Explain the make-up application techniques for eyes, cheeks, lips ways of enhancing features and concealing imperfections
ü Explain and practices for maintaining client’s comfort during treatment
ü Explain the importance of obtaining client feedback during treatment
ü Explain the hygiene and workplace safety and health guidelines
ü Explain the observe rules and regulations, which may include:
ü Prepare client for make-up application
ü Apply foundation and concealer
ü Apply cosmetics to highlight, shade and contour face and enhance facial features.
ü Apply face powder
ü Apply eye make-up
ü Apply lip make-up
ü Complete look
ü Observe hygiene guidelines throughout make-up application
□ CARRY OUT POST-TREATMENT ACTIVITIES
ü Explain the type of aftercare advice
ü Explain the activities for reinstating the treatment room
ü Explain the importance of giving caregiver advice
ü Explain the importance to obtain client / caregiver’s feedback after the treatment
ü Help client to get ready to leave treatment station on completion of make-up application
ü Obtain feedback from client on finished look
ü Provide appropriate aftercare advice
ü Reinstate work area on completion of treatment
